How successful would an economically left, socially conservative party do in America?

I'm not sure but it seems like to me when I watch interviews with conservatives, often times they are single issue (abortion or similar). Do you think a large portion of America's conservative population would be inclined to vote for economically left leaning ideas if they were paired with socially conservative principles?
