Gate L is as nice as the new KLM non-Schangen lounge at Schiphol which was a surprise.
For those that liked British Rail sandwiches from circa 1978 a visit to the lounge in Sofia would be a great highlight of your trip. Otherwise I would really recommend not bothering. Cheap cigs though if you still smoke.
To add - why does Air France serve champagne but doesn't offer proper champagne flutes? I've asked them before and they still can't give a decent answer..

I don't think anyone on here pays the extra to stay in a suite do they? I usually get them (as I have for the past 4 weeks) for being such an awesome customer (or just being polite to the manager which a scarily large number of people fail to be).

I only had dinner at a restaurant in the 7 star hotel. Pretty ordinary. Extremely gaudy décor.
At the other end of the scale, I was staying in eastern Turkey in the 80s. The guidebook dispensed with a star rating as none of the hotels would make even one star. They used a cockroach rating instead. I enjoyed the relative luxury of a two cockroach hotel, having avoided the three cockroach place next door.

It would be nice. What is much more amusing is watching the frustrated labour supporters ranting in their desperation. They know they will never win with Corbyn as their leader.

And here's the thing.
For Labour maintaining the duopoly matters - the Conservatives are the opposition, the LDs and anyone seeking to break up the cost status quo are the enemy. Labour know as long as they are the only alternate game in town they will win someday but if someone else comes again people may start asking what is the point of voting Labour and indeed what is the point of Labour at all.

I can't see parliament choosing a left-winger if they could choose someone who they think is equally or more capable from the centre, centre-left or centre-right. It's about sorting out Brexshit which might be a confirmatory referendum with the option to remain, Norway's terms or something else, or even a referendum on Norway's terms.
It's not about long-term governing of the UK; that's only possible if something is done about Brexshit. Of course. Swinson rules our supporting Corbyn into No 10 and thousands of unhappy Tories feel safe enough to switch their allegiance. Result: surge for the Lib Dems in the polling. Unhappy Labourites realise that she is not going to support Johnson either. Result: further movement from the Corbyn Socialist party. Further result: everybody happy. Brexit stopped and we get back to a sound economy and a fair society.

Exactly. She would countenance a hard Brexit but not a Corbyn led 5 week government whose remit will have agreed beforehand.

No-one. We have a GE and the voters decide if they want to keep Jezza, switch to Bozo's replacement (Rory?) or go full-on Farage.
Is there a guarantee that Swinson can herself win in a GE against a revived SNP ?
Point to me a main party leader who has lost their seat at a general election. it doesn't happen. And in terms of revival the LDs have revived much more than the SNP in Scotland and I'd expect gains there.
Go look at how Gordon Brown did in Scotland at GE2010 - this was totally against the national trend.

They also know Jo has dodged the elephant trap with poise and elegance. Had she endorsed Corbyn, as sensible political people know, it would have handed a huge gift to the Conservatives.
And here's the thing.
For Labour maintaining the duopoly matters - the Conservatives are the opposition, the LDs and anyone seeking to break up the cost status quo are the enemy. Labour know as long as they are the only alternate game in town they will win someday but if someone else comes again people may start asking what is the point of voting Labour and indeed what is the point of Labour at all.
I can't see parliament choosing a left-winger if they could choose someone who they think is equally or more capable from the centre, centre-left or centre-right. It's about sorting out Brexshit which might be a confirmatory referendum with the option to remain, Norway's terms or something else, or even a referendum on Norway's terms.
It's not about long-term governing of the UK; that's only possible if something is done about Brexshit. We've now been going around in circles for 38 months without getting any further forward, in fact I'd say we've gone backwards as the compromises that people discussed in 2016 have vanished from the airwaves.
The man has more talent and integrity in his little toe than the entire cabinet and shadow cabinet combined.
