If you want to develop a conspiracy theory, note that Boulton's wife is Russian, as indeed Aaron Banks' is too. Boulton was one of our spooks of course. There is an interesting comnnection to the LDs via Mike Hancock, who assisted Mrs Banks stay in the UK. Curious and curioser.

Certainly have been a curious number of Russian women marrying much older but politically significant types of late.
    Not to mention Slovenian ones.

Normally that would be a hugely significant tweet. Sadly we all know Andrea Leadsom isn't bright enough to understand what non tarrif barriers are.
TSE... we don't have zero non-tariff barriers now.

So Andrea is presumably picturing full EU political integration. One law, one people.

That has to be one of the crappiest pieces on a criminal going. Bloke living near Vegas like to have a gamble, really, blow me down with a feather. Other than that we have found out basically f##k all.

The only vaguely interesting / relevant bit was he was divorced 27 years ago, no kids and appears no big recent drama.

And all the words trail off into some unvoiced nasalism. I don't object to Renauly rhyming with Peugeot, but I do object to the reduncnacy of all the letters at the end of the words. WHY of WHY of WHY do people insist on filming the word in portrait? This would be a fine way of filming the conversation if the protestor was sitting on JRM's shoulders for the conversation, but for two people standing next to each other, landscape is by far the better medium.

Don't know about the lettering, but the sentiment is hilarious. One thing that is not going on, is any 'building'.

Unless you count weird shaped skyscrapers in the City.
You can ruin a country; you could try, if you are optimistic, to govern a country; you might, in extremis, save a country. But you don't build a country.
    Tell that to the Catalans.

The number of deaths in today's tragic incident was equivalent to the number of people killed by firearms in just one US city - Chicago - last month. We focus on the mass shootings that make the news - but it's a way bigger problem in US society - often in inner city areas in places that have the tightest gun control laws.

I think they have fully justified the text so both left and right alignments are on the slant. Odd thing to do.
At least this arrangement nicely lines up the T of COUNTRY, the OR of WORKS and the Y of EVERYONE for a nice subliminal suggestion.

If you define a mass shooting as 4+ victims (and mofo if you want to try and argue "only" four victims is not a 'mass' shooting then that is whack) there have been 273 mass shootings this year in America.

Sunil's Bar Chart is an excellent reminder of reality. The way some posters go on about how hopeless the Tories are and how they are in high speed terminal decline one could be forgiven for thinking that Labour had a 150 seat majority and were 50 points ahead in the polls.

To bring two themes together, thank God Spain has no equivalent of the second amendment. Death toll = nil, afaik, because no one had the inalienable right to bring an AK47 to the party on Sunday.

I think I want a Hard Brexit JUST so it will make Anna Soubry cry. Again.

Emmanuel Macron: If Cameron attacks, everything will be alright.

    Michel Barnier: Monsieur Macron... Cameron...

Angela Merkel: Cameron didn't have enough Remainers. The Remain victory didn't take place.

[Macron pauses to take off his glasses]

Macron: The following stay here: Tusk, Merkel, Barnier and Juncker.
[The four named EU bigwigs, along with Hollande and Verhofstadt, remain in the room as the others leave. The door closes behind them]
That was an order! Cameron's attack was an order! How dare you ignore my orders?!
[Macron's ranting is clearly audible outside the room]
Is this what it came to? The Commission, everybody lied to me. Even the LibDems! The Remainers are no more than a bunch of disloyal cowards!

Juncker: Monsieur Macron, I can't permit you to insult the British Remainers-

Macron: They are all cowards, traitors and failures!

Juncker: Monsieur Macron, This is outrageous!

Macron: The Commission are the scum of the European Project!
[flings a pencil onto the table]
NO SENSE OF HONOUR! You call yourself "Commissioner" because you spent years at the academy, where you only learned how to use a knife and fork! For years, the Commission obstructed me. All you ever did is thwart me. What I should have done, is had all the high officers fired, like Donald Trump did!
    [pauses]
I never went to the academy. But I conquered all of France on my own. Traitors! I've been betrayed and deceived from the start. Such enormous betrayal of the European people. But all these traitors will pay. They will pay with their own jobs! They will drown in their European Regulations!

Theresa May: [To Anna Soubry, outside the room] Anna, please calm yourself!

Macron: All my orders have been ignored. How can I be a French President under these circumstances? It's over. The war is lost. But if you think this means I'll leave Brussels... you're wrong. I'd rather give Nigel Farage fellatio! [sighs] Do whatever you want.

Oh god I was joking about Alex Jones....but Apparently this one is false flag by antifa!

I'd say there wasn't a way to prevent it but there are ways to reduce it.

Anyone with a car has a potential weapon for mass murder, we're fortunate we've not had any murderous nutters with a bit of common sense and planning.

I'm sure MP_SE will be along shortly expressing his outrage.

Is it me, or is that wording on the wall behind speakers at the Tory conference wonky?

It's just to set up a line for Theresa May's big speech: "You kern if you want to. The lady's not for kerning."
Well she's lost my vote then for sure - unless Corbyn is even more radical on kerning.

I kid you not I just flicked on fox news and they were talking about the only way to stop it is metal detectors everywhere and that is against civil liberties....

As a matter of interest how have you got Fox news - stopped broadcasting in UK some weeks ago
There are lots of ways, but one is the live section of YouTube.
Thanks - I used to get it on Sky but not available anymore

The bar chart that perfectly reflects Theresa May's ineptness.

    image

Wrong. At every election the leader starts at zero. May got more than Cameron his first time round

BTW what were the Catalan plods doing when the outsiders from Santander and Seville were cracking skulls ?

Are the boys from Barcelona the soft lads of Iberia ?

Standing between the thugs and the people

To paraphrase Churchill after some tried to portray Dunkirk as a victory

"We must be very careful not to assign to this deliverance the attributes of a victory. General election are not won by losing your majority."

Good grief Sunil, how many times are you going to post that chart?! It was mildly amusing the first time; after about 5 or 6 repeats it's getting rather tedious pal.
It's ad nauseam until the next one...
I'll post it as many times as OGH writes threads like this one :)

Video showed some of them standing against the outside forces and protecting the public
To bring two themes together, thank God Spain has no equivalent of the second amendment. Death toll = nil, afaik, because no one had the inalienable right to bring an AK47 to the party on Sunday.
On the other hand, if Spain had the Second, then the people would have won yesterday, and Catalunya would now be independent. The police would never dare move against a similar body of American citizens.

e.g. Imagine 1000 Feds trying to take on a million Texans bent on independence

In many ways Catalunya is an argument FOR much more liberal, US-style gun laws.
I suspect that under those circumstances the Spanish authorities would have responded with real bullets rather than rubber ones. The final outcome would have been the same but with lots more dead people on both sides.

Bravo JRM. What a predictable fucking tosser of a lefty, Corbynite SJW.

His vote is worth as much as yours (possibly more given you live in PRC)
