Yep - As did I back in December (also at 100-1) and Mr Meeks earlier today at 45-1 (he took all the 59-1).
I have to admit its strange how many people on here will be both happy and unsurprised were things to play out this way.

I'd say about 50/50. Labour vote is very weak and a number of party members I have spoken to said they are voting LD. Labour's performance will be dire, probably its worst ever in a euro election - this would be seen as a disaster for an opposition party were it not for the Tory calamity that is absorbing our attention.

Get rid of May now and the next Tory leader has to go straight to Brussels and ask for the backstop to be removed and replaced by a technical solution and if not they will have to call a general election in October on a platform of No Deal as the current Commons will always vote for further extension or if refused by Macron likely revoke over No Deal
Which means Alastair Meeks cannot gloat on his 999/1 bet.

The backstop is an interim guarantee. It can't be replaced with something that doesn't deliver.

That would be great for two reasons:
1. I have money on an October election.
2. Labour would win a majority on a manifesto promising a 2nd referendum with the Tory vote split with The Brexit Party.

Only in the sense that he would find it hard to command a majority. Meanwhile Hunt wants to see the PM too. Gonna be crowded in there.

As executive power is delegated by the sovereign to the Prime Minister and their cabinet, there has to be a PM. If the incumbent does not wish to act as caretaker after submitting their resignation, somebody has to be appointed.

Not really, he was a possible option before things changed 30 seconds later. Liddington has always had the job title that says were the PM to fall under a bus he takes over short term..
