    Ever been trolled with a Christmas present? My wife has bought me 'A Little History of Yorkshire'.

    Yorkshire tea, Yorkshire beer, Yorkshire pudding, Yorkshire everything. And now I can read about bloody Yorkshire!

    Bloody brilliant isn't it ;-)

    Incredibly mild out. Millions of dogs on the beach. And Christmas dolphins leaping just offshore.

    Dog now shattered from his exertions of trashing wrapping paper into confetti and sniffing millions of bottoms. Job done.

    Now - let the gorging commence......

    Nice! - where are the Dolphins?

    Yes to all three.

    Israeli = Peres. Trio in government = Troika. Peres + Troika = Perestroika. Russian for Restructuring - political and economic. Gorbachev era.

    Away Fan. A means = A way. To stir up = fan. Away fan = opposition supporter.

    Female's = her's. With a female's = A + her. Point of view = N = (North). The "of view" isn't really discussed.

    A + her + N = Ahern = Politician.

    Yes. The wordplay is exactly as you have it. I have to concede the definition bit is a bit dubious. But some critics of Brexit, including Corbyn, have described the Brexit that we are heading for as a "Blind Brexit" and also a "Blindfold Brexit". Because the type of agreement we going to get down the line is not at all clear or agreed as yet.

    15 is expansive isn’t it? Was looking for a famous liberal to include in a word for speech, but I think it’s just that ‘liberal in speech’ and ‘far reaching’ can both mean ‘expansive’.

    Late afternoon all :)

    Christmas greetings to all on PB both those who like me and those who loathe me. Don't worry- I treat you all with equal contempt.

    Thank you for the fascinating debates and discussions.

    As for Christmas, a quiet day with Mrs Stodge - I went for a post-lunch constitutional and here in East Ham you soon realise there are people who don't celebrate Christmas. If I'd not fancied our huge Christmas roast, the kebab shop was open which serves chicken (allegedly) and lamb (even more allegedly).

    Unlike someone earlier, I've eschewed the crossword for tomorrow's racing. I've had a bet on POLITOLOGUE in the King George at 11/2 which looks a shot to nothing as long as the rain stays away.

    Tbh I'd rejected this earlier as I was looking at "trained to be" which does not quite work.
